The name is unknown. Manjit’s Mother has a brother ,too. His name is unknown too but he is just calles Ekbals Dad because his son’s name is Ekbal. The old man and the mother have five children. The oldest is Dalbir (sister of Manny). Manny’s brother Bilhar or Harry is engaged to Baljit. His another sister is called Balbir. Ranjit is Manjit’s second brother.Ranjit is married with Jas. So Jas is Manny’s Sister in law. Ranjit and Jas has a child her name is Gurpal. The main Charakter of the book is Manjit who is just called Manny. His best friend is Adrian. Manny is in love with Lisa and Jenny.

My name is Bilhar but everyone calles me Harry. I’m the older brother of Manny. We live in England but I’m Indian , too. So I speak English and Punjabi. I’m very proud to be a Punjabi. My religion is the Sikh. I only have Punjabi Friends because I don’t like Britains. My favourite country is India. I just live here because of the money. I work in a factory like my Dad. I also would like to keep the traditions. I share my room with my little brother Manjit but it is difficult. he says that I’m untidy but I don’t think so. Arranged Marriages are a tradition of the Punjabis so I am engaged to a girl who I have never met.

His name ist Bilhar but is called Harry. He comes from India but lives in England , Leicester. He speaks Punjabi and a pidgin English. He belongs to the Sikhs. He has two brothers. Manny and Ranjit. And two sisters. Balbir and Dalbir. He works in a factory and is uneducated. His Idol is his violent Father. He would like to keep the traditions an earn money. He only has Punjabi Friends and is engaged to a girl. He is proud to be a Punjabi.

The characterisation is about one of the main characters at the end of the book. Uncle Jag from the book : “(un)arranged marriage” , written by teh Author Bali Rai and published 2015 causes a turning point in Manny’s life.

The book “(un)arranged marriage , is about the teenager Manny and his Indian immigrant Family. They live in Leicester, England.The whole Family was born in India, except Manny. They believe in the Punjabi culture and the religion Sikh. Manjit is diffrent to the other family members. He has high grades at school and did not like the idea of the Punjabi culture. In the age of 13 his father told him that he will arrange a marriage when he turns 17. Manny refues to live in an arranged marriage. So his grades drop and he turns into a rebel. In India his Uncle Jag helped him to get back to England and they plan a cheat. Uncle Jag , who is just called Jag , lives in Australia.
In the bool he is described that he “looked to me like a normal bloke” (p.112 , l.25). The first person narrator says that Jag is a strange person and the black sheep of the Family. (line 23+31 , p. 112). He speaks English and Punjabi …
